Zyan (Zhiyan) Wang

Zyan grew up in Beijing, China, and started studying in the US since high school. She obtained a BSc in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University with a minor in Psychology before joining the lab as a PhD student. She started studying habit formation with Sharlen, and is currently investigating the cortico-striatal circuitries that facilitate the flexible switch between goal-directed and habitual behavior using a paradigm that supports real-time observation of these transitions. In her free time, she enjoys writing, taking care of her reptilian friends, video games, and naps.
